Aims & Objectives

  1. Elmdene Surgery aims to offer the best quality service to our patients and visitors. We promote a safe and healthy environment offering confidentiality, collaboration and teamwork
  1. All our staffs are trained to offer our patients courtesy and respect at all times irrespective of ethnic origin, religious belief, personal attributes or the nature of the health problem.
  1. We actively encourage our patients to be involved in all decision making regarding their health and treatment
  1. To promote good health and well-being to all our patients using education, information and guidance. And making use of electronic/digital methods to ensure health information is more accessible.
  1. To involve and collaborate in multidisciplinary team work including nursing and allied healthcare professional in the provision of care for our patients.
  1. To encourage patients to be involved in how the practice and patient care can be improved by using patient surveys, questionnaires such as the Friend and Family Test and patient participation groups.
  1. The practice runs regular training needs assessments to ensure all staff has the correct skills and training to carry out their job roles competency. And that there are regular opportunities to discuss and learn from problems or issues that may arise.
  1. To provide a safe and effective service in a responsive way to meet all the needs of our patients.
  1. To support continuity of care – whenever possible through personal continuity; but also through medical record continuity enables by high quality medical records; and following guidelines based on best evidence, national and local policy
  1. To be active and responsible member in our local health community ensuring our practice and services to our patients are commissioned and provided in a way most likely to meet their needs.
  1. To ensure the practice is compliant with relevant legislation and policy relevant to maintaining trust and confidentiality as well as to ensure we practice high quality medicine
